The Dancing Breath of God

“I talk of branches dancing in the wind

but what I mean is the breath of God.”

Rumi

Feel the wind. Listen as it tiptoes past in a whisper, or waltzes with swaying branches, or twirls like an ice skater, scattering sparkles of frost in wild abandon. Watch. Listen. Feel the breath of God.

Nurture peace, cultivate kindness, and carry the calm.

As the Round Earth Rolls

“This grand show is eternal. It is always sunrise somewhere . . . a shower is forever falling; vapor is ever rising. Eternal sunrise, eternal sunset, eternal dawn and gloaming, on sea and continents and islands, each in its turn, as the round earth rolls.” – John Muir

Enjoy the grand show!

Nurture peace, cultivate kindness, and carry the calm.

Fast or Far?

“If you walk by yourself, you can go fast.

If you walk with others, you can go far.”

– old proverb –

Nurture peace within yourself and among others. Worry and agitation can be contagious. But so can serenity and calm. So cultivate inner peace, carry the calm, and may you go far.

Slant, Hue, and New Song

“Every night the river sings a new song.”

Eva-Lis Wuorio –

Nature changes in subtle, quiet ways hour by hour, day in, day out. The slant of the sun, the placement of the stars, the hue of leaves, the folds of petals. And the song of flowing water. Perhaps we, too, change in subtle ways as we watch and listen with wonder.

Nurture peace, cultivate kindness, and carry the calm.

Love Like a River

“Those who don’t feel this Love

pulling them like a river,

those who don’t drink dawn

like a cup of spring water

or take in sunset like supper,

Those who don’t want to change,

Let them sleep.”

Rumi

Peace is waiting for you – and joy and wonder and goodness and grace. And Love. Don’t sleep.

Nurture peace, cultivate kindness, and carry the calm.
